Each year we invite members of St. Odilia to join ourParish Choir to sing for the Christmas Eve late 11:00 p.m. Mass (10:00 p.m. carols) on Tuesday, December 24, and if interested, the 9:00 a.m. Masses for Holy Family Sunday (Dec. 29) & Epiphany (Jan. 5). This late Mass will begin at 11:00 p.m. with carols starting at 10:00 p.m. It is a great opportunity for those who cannot sing with the choir year round to be part of the wonderful music of Christmas. Rehearsals are scheduled for the following dates and will be held in either the Perry music room or the church worship space:
Thursday Dec. 19 at 7:00 p.m. with orchestra & bells
Everyone high school age and up are welcome to sing. For more information, contact Ryan Chimzar, 651-415-3346 or [email protected]. It is very important that you let us know you are coming so we can have a music folder ready for you. In addition, you would need to attend at least three rehearsals in order to learn the music that we are singing.
Christmas Eve Late Mass - Instruments
If you are a musician who plays woodwinds or strings we invite you toparticipate at our Christmas Eve late Mass at St. Odilia. The Christmas Eve late Mass will begin at 11:00 p.m. with carols at 10:00 p.m. A number of St. Odilia musicians join us for these celebrations each year. We are always open to new players. There will be one full rehearsal with instruments before the December 24 date. This year that date is December 19 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
It is also very important that you are able to make this rehearsal, since we need to prepare music packets for those people who are playing. We will not be able to prepare extra packets. If you are interested, please call Ryan Chimzar at the parish, 651-415-3346 or email: [email protected].
